Neon Abyss Walkthrough
Procedural rooms make a click-by-click walkthrough false the moment the seed changes. The stable part is the floor structure.

I would explain a run as resources first: hearts, keys, bombs, coins, crystals, then an egg if one drops. Boss identity depends on the floor band, which is why the boss page exists.
The shape of a run
Rooms vary between runs. The stable structure is the Bar, your selected difficulty, early New God floors and later Managers. Faith Gems purchase permanent upgrades; ordinary Crystals remain a separate run resource.
A Repeatable Run Checklist
This is a resource-oriented route, not a guaranteed room order.
- At the Bar, choose an unlocked character and inspect health, Keys, Bombs and difficulty dots.
- Clear combat rooms, then read the map and your resources before opening optional rooms.
- Inspect the item effect before taking it; keep track of the trigger your build needs.
- Before a Manager room, finish any optional exploration: you cannot leave after entering.
- After the run, spend Faith Gems on the Bar upgrade tree and check newly unlocked rooms or characters.
Choose the Progression Branch
A generated dungeon has no universal room-by-room sequence. Use the ordinary Boss-route guide for the token branches; the Office storyline and DLC mode have separate prerequisites.
| Goal | Documented next action |
|---|---|
| Office / Room 404 | Team17’s 2021 PC update: defeat Zeus or a superior Manager for Office access, then complete Hades’ quest for the Library, Room 404 and vending machine |
| Abyssal difficulty | Veewo’s historical FAQ: win a five-dot Hard run; 1.2.5.6 Default-Branch keeps the unlocked mode available |
| Chrono Trap | With applicable DLC, use the Bar cliff-edge mode switch and select Endless Mode |
Questions this page answers
Is there one correct route?
No. Rooms are generated. The stable steps are floor bands, shops, and the bar between runs.
Where do I go after floor 4?
Managers start at floor 5, and you cannot leave their rooms.
Keep going
