The effect triggers on picking up coins. A direct coin grant is not automatically the same trigger, so no guaranteed synergy with Accidental Wealth is claimed.
Effect
Every coin pickup has a chance to also give crystals. That is the paraphrase. Crystals are a run resource. Permanent Bar upgrades use Faith Gems, not these Crystals.

Set Membership and Trigger
Amethyst Necklace is a Whisper of Chaos member. Any four members activate the documented double activation of Crystal-cost active items; the Necklace alone does not double an active skill. Its own Crystal drop requires coin pickup and remains chance-based.

The Necklace rewards coin pickups with a possible Crystal. Golden Sam’s Red Envelope costs a Crystal to convert stored envelopes into coins. The records do not establish a self-sustaining resource loop.
