NEON ABYSS

Neon Abyss 2 Characters

The July 2025 EA guide documents five unlock tasks plus Nik as the default Agent. R-7, Mira, Cassie and Tino are documented later Agents, but their complete current unlock task text is not established by the checked sources.

I use the Steam achievement strings for the current roster and keep the July 2025 guide explicitly scoped to Early Access. The task thresholds below are useful leads, not a claim that every 1.0 task is unchanged.

Agents and Unlock Evidence

Steam achievements confirm Saya, Elise, James, Xuan, R-7, Mira, Cassie and Lucia. Wonder Flow introduces Tino on 14 June 2026 and documents Wonder Jar copying at a health cost. Glimmer Heist introduced Cassie on 29 January 2026.

The checked 1.0 launch material does not publish a complete task table for every Agent. Where only an achievement name exists, the page says so rather than turning the achievement into an invented unlock condition.

What Agent Profiles Record

The 1.0 notes say an Agent profile records skills, boss kills and the highest Fate record. That is a tracking feature, not an official strength ranking.

Starting weapons and resource affinities are part of the Agent choice, but no current universal best-Agent result is established by the sources checked here.

Agent Unlock Status by Evidence

The EA guide gives five unlock tasks plus Nik as the default Agent. Check those tasks against the current Task panel. The remaining names are real Agent or achievement references, but the checked official posts do not publish their complete unlock task text.

Questions this page answers

How do I unlock the named Agents?

The named Early Access thresholds are: Elise hatch 8 Hatchmon; Xuan carry 10 Purple Wisps in one run; James use 30 Weapons; Saya reach Floor 5; Lucia obtain and use 30 Curios. Steam confirms R-7, Mira and Cassie unlock achievements but the checked 1.0 source does not publish their task text.

Is Tino one of the Agents?

Yes. Wonder Flow introduced Tino on 14 June 2026. He can copy Wonder Jars at a health cost; the announcement does not publish his complete unlock task.

What is the best Agent?

There is no official ranking. Compare the Agent profile, starting weapon, affinity and the resource cost your run can actually support.
