NEON ABYSS

Neon Abyss vs Enter the Gungeon

Neon Abyss keeps platform jumping central; Enter the Gungeon prioritizes gun rooms and dodge rolls. Revita combines twin-stick shooting with a different resource-sacrifice loop.

Which should you choose?

Choose Neon Abyss when side-view platforming and piling up item interactions are the main appeal. Choose Enter the Gungeon when dodging bullets, gun variety and local shared-screen play matter more than platform jumping.

Choose Revita when you want another twin-stick platformer but are interested in the soul-sacrifice progression described by its developer. That is a different resource trade-off, not proof that it is harder or better.

For an online group, Neon Abyss 2 officially supports up to four players online. Do not buy the original expecting that feature, and do not mistake Gungeon's local category for documented online multiplayer.

Questions this page answers

Which has co-op?

Neon Abyss (2020) and Revita are listed as single-player. Neon Abyss 2 supports online co-op up to four players. Enter the Gungeon lists local Shared/Split Screen play; this is not a claim of native online co-op.

What about Revita?

Revita is a twin-stick roguelite platformer with procedural rooms and soul harvesting and sacrifice. It shares the platform-shooting premise but not Neon Abyss's exact item, pet or co-op systems.
